Paula Maldonado

Foundation 65 Board member since 2022

Paula Maldonado was born and raised in what has become known as, " Skevanston."  Two generations of her family have gone through Districts 65 and 202.  She recently retired after teaching for 40 years, 30 of them within District 65 as an elementary school teacher.  She attended National College of Education, now known as National Louis University and has a BA in Education.  She also has a Masters in Literacy and holds a Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement.  She is passionate about equity in education and has attended Beyond Diversity, SEED and SPROUT workshops. She continues to attend workshops and seminars to further her knowledge and understanding of her responsibilities as a white female educator in today's world and in particular SD 65, which she calls home.  Paula lives in Skevanston and has two grandchildren who will attend District 65 in the coming years.
